How Many Guests Can the Venue Accommodate?

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
All facilities are wheelchair accessible including bathrooms.

Is there a place to hang coats?

Yes, there is a coats racks guests can use so that we are keeping the reception area clear for moving around, dancing and catering services.

How can the tables and chairs be set up inside the venue?

We have a variety of options for configuring the tables. We give couples a set of options to choose from based on the number of tables needed.  We can also work with a couple if there is a unique set up they are envisioning.

Is the venue climate controlled?
Yes, The Legacy has both central air conditioning and vented heat. Heaters for the patio areas are available if needed.

Reservations

How do I reserve a date?

We hope that you are able to come visit us in person or a virtual tour, however tours are not required. Once you have decided to book a date with us, send us a message through our system (called Weven)  with the exact date you wish to book. Dates are reserved on a first requested basis. After that, a team member will contact you to share the rentals agreement and payment option for the date reservation payment.  Couples have 7 days to return the agreement and send over the date reservation payment.  Check Out Our Calendar Here.

When are payments due?

Once you have signed a rental agreement, the reservation fee ($2,500) is due in order to officially book the date. Twelve months prior to the event a portion of the payment is due and the final payment is due 30 days before the event. Full payment is due by the specified date in the rental agreement. Does The Legacy provide a Day of Coordinator service?

Members of our team will be on site for the duration of your rental to maintain the facility and grounds and answer questions you may have. They will meet the vendors and direct them to where they need to go. If you are looking for someone to be more involved, we have coordinators to refer you to!

Miscellaneous

Do you give a military discount?
ABSOLUTELY. We would like to honor a couple who has served or is currently serving our country. We are proud to offer a 5% discount off the venue fee.
Can we bring our own alcohol?

No, as New York State liquor law states, all alcohol must be provided and served by a vendor who holds a NYS liquor license. NY State Liquor Laws Here.

What type of guest accommodations are nearby?

There are four hotels within a 4 mile radius of The Legacy, in the Hamburg, NY Area. If your guests would like to stay in the downtown area of Buffalo, that is an easy 14 mile drive given our vicinity to the expressway. Check Out Our Hotel Suggestions Here.
